Charlotte County HospitalThe Charlotte County Hospital, one of twelve facilities of The Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation/des Sciences de la Sante de l'Atlantique, is a 44-bed acute care hospital serving the residents of Charlotte County. The hospital was established in 1953 with a major renovation and expansion completed in 1996. A new emergency, concentrated care, and ambulatory care wing was added at that time.

The hospital is serviced by 20 medical staff members including general practitioners, surgeons, radiologists, dentists and specialists. In addition there are more than 25 medical specialists from outside the community who provide clinics and consultation services on a regular basis.

In addition to upgrades to the existing structure, a new Chapel was created adjacent to the main lobby.

Care is provided by a full range of health professionals and includes nursing, physiotherapy, respiratory therapy, speech language pathology, addictions counseling, dietary counseling, discharge planning, breast screening services and education, diabetes education, and pharmacy. Pastoral care is available during scheduled hours and on a call-in basis when requested or required. Diagnostic services include a full-service laboratory, Electro diagnostics, and Diagnostic Imaging service.
